Machinery/Plant Insurance

Damage or theft to plant and machinery for any business can have serious financial impact on your business. If your business owns and runs Plant and Machinery we can source an insurance policy to ensure it is covered for loss, damage and even downtime. We can also obtain cover for plant machinery and tools when stored off site.

Machinery and Plant Insurance policies can include cover for installed machinery, or specified plant and equipment, at specific locations for sudden and unforeseen damage, including pressure explosion, collapse, breakdown, accidental damage and toppling. We can also source cover for damage arising from the operator’s error or omission during the normal operations of the machinery.

Cover can also include:

Business Interruption – In the event that the operation of your business is interrupted by an insured event, the insurers can pay the profit or revenue lost by you as a direct result.
Temporary Removal – The perils covered can be extended to include fire and theft whilst the property is temporarily removed for repair, maintenance, overhaul or inspection.
Additional Property – Cover can be extended in respect of any additional installed plant of a similar nature and capacity to that covered under the policy.
Temporary Repairs – Cover can be extended to pay the reasonable cost of effecting the temporary repair, up to a limit of £10,000.
Pressure Explosion Damage to Owned Property – Cover can be extended to insure you against pressure explosion damage to surrounding property belonging to you or for which you are responsible.
Cost of Replacement Equipment – Cover can be extended to include the cost of hiring in substitute plant until repairs have been carried out on damaged property.
